Using VFP 5.0, I am attempting to print to a multi-part form (dot matrix, of course) where the first page is different from the continuation page(s). I have opened the printer in raw mode with no spooling.

The first problem I get is an error 1957--error accessing the spooler. I don't *want* to access the spooler; I want to print directly to the printer, like the Windows 95 spooling option for the selected printer says.

The second problem is as follows: the MESSAGEBOX prompting the user to load the continuation forms pops up even though the first page hasn't printed yet--it is spooled (I guess). After I inform my program that the continuation form is loaded, the first page prints and, without pausing, so does the 2nd page.

Any ideas out there, short of re-writing this thing in DOS?

TIA.
John
