Let me expand on my other reply a bit. I like the idea of creating a cursor in, say, the Init of a control to show a range of values as you are encapsulating the data where it belongs. OTOH, if you have a situation where your parent record could change and you're displaying child records, isn't this the ideal situation for a parameterized view?
