This sounds like one of the expressions is wrong that VFP evaluates on its own, like ControlSource or all of the Dynamic properties in the grid. Maybe they refer to a function or use a property that is not available, anymore.

Do you have a ON KEY LABEL MOUSE or ON KEY LABEL LEFTMOUSE in your application?
