I just went away and tested it (I wasn't sure myself). My first attempt at putting a 2.6 table in a view came up with "Not a Table" - Uh Oh! Went back to 2.6 and opened same table - same error - Phew!
Tried another 2.6 table in a view and it worked perfectly!
