>Thanks Larry, will try it out. I was also unable to set the current date or a user defined date to the calendar. I could do it in VB but not in VFP ie. where the date to be displayed is manually and shows up on the control.

The calendar control works like a charm - the only problem was the setup. On MOST machines, MSCAL.OCX got installed, and the properties were correct. On two machines, it appears that they were using MSACAL70.OCX, and mine didn't get installed. But setting all the desired parameters (and I mean ALL) in the INIT of the control solved the problem.
