I have a system that stores report parameters into a file that contains memo fields. These memo fields store differerent variations of the criteria, ie raw values, descritption, and query code. What I have been noticing is that the .fpt file continues to grow over time when users add new criteria or remove criteria from existing reports. The .fpt file can grow to a couple of megs over a few months timeframe. I know that by packing the table the memo file will shrink. My question is, are there any settings that would control the growth of the memo file without having to pack the database on a weekly basis?
