Thanks for the info. I don't use StopScan anywhere, I do CloseScanner() after the StartScan() method completes. I figure since I Open it I should Close it *s*

But even the VFP5 dev environment crashes on close, after only opening that form for edit without running the form, so I'm not sure it actually related to what methods are called.
