MS and its Visual FoxPro marketing team are pushing VFP5 in a DevWire e-mailing. Some of you may or may not receive this.
In the one just issued tonight, both the Power of Visual FoxPro video and the MS white paper Choosing the Right Database Development Tool where VFP gets its due are prominently covered.
It also mentions that VFP5 will be one of the featured products at the upcoming DevDays.
Now, ordinarily I wouldn't get too pumped up learning about things I already know about. But, this is important because it shows that the new Fox Marketing team is pushing to get the product recognized and that they're now successfully placing the Fox name in front of a bunch of developers who are using Visual C++ and Visual BASIC. Just as we are being told to work with the other Visual tools to develop more powerful solutions, the other Visual developers are having Visual FoxPro put right directly in front of them, maybe for the very first time.
Congrats to the MS Fox marketing team!
