I am using a grid to add/delete/update child records - pretty standard stuff!

There are 2 updatable columns in the grid - one is a combo, and the other a normal text box.

The problem is on adding new records and modifying them. You can enter a value into the text box, no problem. BUT if you make a change to the column with the combo box and then attemp to change the text box value you get:

'Record is in use by another...'

How can this be? It is optimistically table buffered and the record is new.

Any ideas?
