Michel,

This is a quote from the Microsoft Student Workbook for the SQL Server Administration course: "If you need to change the character set after you have installed SQL Server, you must rebuild the master database and user databases." There are other forbidding references in the Administrator's Companion that make me think this is not something you really want to do.
