>In Windows 95 (I don't know about NT, sorry) you can use the EXPLORER to look in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM and find two files, the MSComm32.OCX and REGSVR32.EXE.
>Simply DRAG the MSComm32.OCX file and DROP its icon on top of the icon for REGSVR32.EXE and you should see a dialog informing you:
> "DllRegisterServer32 in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MSComm32.OCX succeeded"
>Which should now install the control properly.

>I fellow your method but I couldn't succeed. Then I remove the whole VFP, I found out that the MSComm32.OCX and REGSVR32.EXE hadn't been deleted. So, I tried to delete both files. Then, I re-installed VFP. After finish the installation, the MSComm32.OCX was installed into C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM however, the REGSVR32.EXE didn't exist. Now, I still can't use MSComm32.EXE. I checked and ensured the whole computer no other programming lanuages installed.

what Paul ment is that you should run REGSVR32 with MSCOMM32.ocx as a parameter (he described how to do it with the windows explorer)
in a DOS promopt it would look regsvr32 mscomm32.ocx
you need to copy regsvr32 to you windows\system directory
