I feel for you Peter. I know what you're going through. My current project was happily humming along and for few weeks until I started getting these C000005 errors and certain random crashes and freezes (I run First Aid program which supposed to detect and intercept these crashes and it can't).

DCOM configuration is probably more what the real problem was, at least for my case. My problem was solved, mostly, through installing IE5 (beta) which reconfigured my DCOM settings.
