>Under the command prompt on WNT 4.0 a execute an application but I always get the message error "The system cannot find the especified file xxxx.xx" where xxxx.xx is the name of the file. The application is an DOS app. and it does exist in the directory. What is causinf this problem. I really need help on this one..

This is just a wild guess, but does the file, or any component of the file, reside in a folder whose path name contains a space, or have to be found in a directory in the path that occurs after a folder that contains a space? I've seen a few older applications which simply couldn't deal with paths with spaces in them.

It would help if you could be more specific about the exact command you're trying to execute, the folder, and the settings of the command window.
