Don't support Windows only printers. Why are your customers buying Windows Only printers if they are using DOS products?? I realize your customer's want to make this YOUR problem, but I would tell them to return their printer for one that can handle DOS. Not just for your app, but for any other DOS app they may be running. I hope your application doesn't use modems, you'll really be in for it when they start calling with their Windows Only modems!!!
