no - not exactly .
when you write some code in an event VFP executes your code and then it continues and process the default code for the event
e.g. if you put some code in the click event ,VFP will proces your code and then the click
to prevent the default behaviour from occuring (after your code)
you should specify NODEFAULT
that's it :)
