I had tried to manually open the dbf file using vfp command window, it also open the cdx file without any error, so the cdx cannot be corrupt or damaged.
My application is just open the dbf file in exclusive mode. Even with the cdx file in the same folder, the first dbf file always had problem with opening it index, the next one to follow , do not had the same problem. Calling the same function again, will not give me the same error again.


I found that the first dbf file is open in workarea 3, the delete tag all also in workarea 3, but it prompt me to select which dbf file to open, then give me error 52.

The other dbf file when open in workarea 3, the delete tag all for the dbf is in workarea 2, will not give me error.


Maybe I miss out any thing, please advise. thank a lot.
