In the form activate, setting thisform.list1.listitem.selected(i) = .t. for multiple items will work only if I pause for a half second or more (in the activate) before running through the loop to turn on the items.

Relying on a half second pause is something I really want avoid if possible. The problem also appears if code is run in the init.

I am using a PII 350 with VFP5 - known issue with fast machines?.
