Yes, especially since the guy who wrote it is off today (it's a company holiday for my client.) I got dragged in because it had to be something Ed did when generating the new data.

What's worse is that the code change was made and sent to an end user without having been tested - just compiled and shipped. At least it only went out to a couple of their beta sites; I really shudder to think that this could have gone out to 3,000-4,000 customers! I checked SourceSafe; the code (along with about 10 other lines) was added late Thursday morning; the beta site reported the application failure sometime during the day Friday.

So much for QA...
