>>Another thing which is deeply frustrating is handwriting directly on paper. Never found a pencil with really good Undo, Backspace, word wrap... and even if I manage to cope up with that, I found another (worse) frustration: I have to rethink each sentence to avoid using ":)", "ROFL", "AFAIK" and such things. Nightmare.

>Even more than 'Undo', 'Backspace' and 'WordWrap' I need 'INSERT'. Somehow my written words never seem to shift over when I add text :-)
I think I would overcome that if I had Cut&paste and wordwrap capable pencil.
>But why CAN'T you write 'ROFL' on a printout? Several of the (paper) Christmas cards I received this year contained acronyms and emoticons, so why not put them onto your own documents? Certainly I've been known to write "@%#&%" on printouts from certain (unnamed) clients!
Just because I'm writing to those who wouldn't understand (which already happened).
As for the !@$#%&, my middle daughter once invented (copyright should apply here, if not patent) a piece of cardboard on a handle, in form of a comic strip baloon, with these signs (plus some thunderbolths and skulls) drawn, to keep in the car and show it to other drivers as needed. When the situation comes, you just hold it to your head so the guy in the car in front of you sees you with the baloon pointing to your mouth :). We had one of those in the company car, worked nice.
