Hi Ernie!
Since the message is telling you that the index is not in the DBC, you won't find any mention of it in the Database.dbc file - that's the problem.
As to why there is discrepency, I don't know. I would suggest, however, to DELETE TAG ALL (as opposed to DELETE TAG x for each tag), VALIDATE DATABASE, then re-create the tags. This usually clears up any DBC/Index problems.
