>>Maybe missing something, but I've found the printer choices stored in a 3.0 report will overrule the Windows Default. I recently did a report using my LaserJet 4+ and when installed it kept trying to print to a non-existant tray on the client's LJ 5+. We re-set the Windows default, saved, re-booted, etc. etc. (WIN95) and finally opened the report, looked at the default choice, which was the LJ5 printer, saved it and it worked.

Quite true, Arnon. However, the problem seems to be whether the Windows default will overpower the value in the report. It seems to me that the reason why Windows HAS defaults is so that they will BE the active printer/color/date format etc. no matter what the individual program was developed to use.
