If you have a good look in the Universal Thread, you will find that there is a problem with most recent HP printers, especially the Series 600 injets. Basically, the driver does not release system resources. Try this experiment - set up the Win95/8, or Win NT resources monitor and print a few reports. the resources drop away until there are none left. I read on the 'thread that one user complained so much to HP that they purchased his printer back. He bought an Epson and had no trouble. From my understanding, HP doesn't want to admit this problem and refuse to help. I tell my customers to NEVER purchase HP printers because of this attitude. This is very frustrating for an ISD like myself. My customers don't want to know the technical reasons why their new $400 printer crashes Windows inside my app when it works fine in say, Winword.
