I have a question regarding "disappearing" sessions when running DOS sessions in NT. Many times, while working in DOS under NT, the session just disappears. Example: the DOS window closes without warning or error message. We have noticed this regularly in our NT development environment.

Is anyone familiar with the cause of this problem? I would imagine that NT does not run a "true" version of DOS, thus causing the program to hiccup.

Does this sound accurate? Can anything be done to prvent this from happening? (Such as tinkering with the configuration of the machine, setup, etc...)

Any solutions would be greatly appreciated!
