The new machine will be a desktop.
>Is the new machine a laptop or a desktop? Win '98 has nice features for laptops (power management, USB support, hot-swapping of pc-cards). Windows NT is much more stable (in my opinion). I generally use 9x for laptops and NT for desktops.

>>I am preparing to buy a new machine. I am having trouble deciding which version of Windows to get. I am currently using NT Workstation. I am considering using Windows 98 on the new machine. I am going to put Windows 98 (my kids will be using this computer) on my old machine and connect a peer-to-peer network with the new computer. I will also be connecting to my office network using PPTP over the 'Net.

>>Can anybody offer any advice to help make the decision easier?
