For displaying data, remote views are fine. However, you lose the control that you would otherwise have with SPT. By sharing connections, you can use the remote view for displaying and capturing updates, and use SPT to actually do the updates to the backend..

I was thinking of showing the team Remote View technology to help speed up development. I've never used remote views in an environment like this, so I'm curious as to why you opine against them.
