>>Has anybody had problems with file corruption on Novell 3.12 Servers, Win95/98 workstations using Microsoft Client 32? The corruption I've seen is there are 2 bytes missing at some point in file and 2 extra bytes at some later point. This is causing the records where the 2 missing bytes through the records containing the 2 extra bytes appear to be shifted and appear corrupted. (shifts data between fields) Total file length is OK as is the total records.

>Do you mean Novell Client 32 or Microsoft Client for Netware? The former is known to cause data corruption. I've never seen this sort of thing with the MS Client. For more information, check out the Novell site and do a search for FoxPro. According to one of their support documents it's supposed to be fixed in Netware 5.

I'm pretty sure it's Microsoft Client for Netware. How should this appear in Network/Properties/Configuration? I'm ALMOST sure this is a hardware problem (10base2, cheap nics). It's happening pretty regular, and may be narrowed down to 1 or 2 workstations. One workstation (450Mhz) is running real slow, kind of like the nic is constantly interrupting. Man, I hope it's that simple!
