I'm pretty sure there had to be a FOXPROCFG environment variable. FP would only search the MS-DOS path if the config.fp file weren't in the program's own startup directory, right? (Of course, another thing to check would be whether the Shortcut/PIF asserted a different start-up directory than the exe's location! I didn't think of that until now.)
