Does anyone know how I can insert a record into SQL Server using ADO 2.0 and have it return to me the value of the primary key IDENTITY field. I am using Visual Basic 6.0.

I have a parent/child table relationship going, and need the key value from the parent table to use as a foreign key in the child table.

Also, does anyone know of any good books relating to VB 6.0/SQL Server/ADO.

Thanks all!
