Uri,
To complement what Barbara already told you, if you're in 6, there's a utility on the VFP WEB that does the conversion for you, iow it updates your classes with the "right" activeX controls.

Doug Hennig has published an article in FoxTalk (June 98) where he externalizes the ActiveX control. He adds the ActiveX controls to his form with a CREATEOBJECT(), thus there is no reference to the ActiveX control in the VCX and all is fine. I perused my January 99 MSDN CD's and found this article there too.
