I'd agree that pageframes (pgf) are generally better than formsets. I have one app that uses a main form with a pgf on it, but from the pgf other child forms are launched. Because the user needs to be able to more than one kind of child form at the same time. With a pgf you can only see one "type" of data at a time. I don't use a formset, each of these forms is a modeless independent form.
