If I understand your question... No. The config file is read upon startup only. You may want to review the SET SYSMENU command and setup a dummy menu. I have seen others do this in the past. I am not sure if VFP 5.0 re-worked its menu features. U may want to post a question specific to VFP 5.0 if that is the version U are using. htwh..
