Jon,
Mine is rather of the 'any way' category. Look at my report object. I
use it for the summary, you could extend it to group totals (if you are
courageous). If there is not enough space to print the summary on the
last page, the object makes sure that one line is printed on the next
page.
Very unOOlike, I initiate the nLPP (number of lines per page ... and
yes, it takes a test run to find out) and the nSummaryLines (number of
Lines taken by the Summary).
In the report I set the group to this.LastPage(), with the setting on
where if the value of the group value changes, the report issues a
formfeed. Look at the Lastpage method: It returns 0 if 'lastpageing'
is not activated, if there is enough space for the summary on the last
page, and 1 if this is the last line and there is _not_ enough space on
the last page.
BTW, another approach is to stuff empty lines into the cursor that is
submitted to the report in such a way that the group total falls where
you want it to. Not always applicable obviously.
