Thay's what I undestood. It is not me that is writing the program, really. It's one customer using my tools. I tried, at beginning of the database design, to get them to find a more rational way of designing the table, like splitting it in 3 or 3 parts. Their experience is all in Clipper and find very difficult to work with nothing but plain tables. I know, the design is flawed but I have not been able to convince them. I suppose that I can make read only as much as possible that is common and hope for the best.
Thanks a lot again. I never thought at the WherType property.
