Hi Marcus,

I've read the article too, and tend to reject the disable numeric processor option as I cannot assume that other applications used by the clients do not use it. Also the application is required to be installed by the user off a network menu option and asking them to do that is unacceptable.
I'm going to try a combination of:
1> Set the user's default printer to anything but the offending printers (this seems to work!)
2> _fpreset() religiously

>I have found that following MS's suggestion of disabling the Numeric Data Processor fixes my issue of freezing with HP drivers. At least in my most basic tests with an HP4000 driver. This suggestion is in Article ID: Q183522. What it doesn't say is what the consequences of doing this are. Anyone know what this will do, or not do??? It sure would be nice if this is a viable solution. I would think that this also means the code Randy Brown suggests should work too. It's in the same article. It didn't work for me, but maybe I missed a SET PRINTER TO somewhere.
