I am printing to a datasouth documax printer a very complex form that has some lines slightly offset. On certain records the data from a field above overwrites the data on a field below. I sent the code to a printer and noticed that there is what appears to be a skip backward code. My data for the line after appears before on the printout. This is a VERY picky and form which is 8.5 by 17. What is even more interesting is that the some of the (cut and pasted)same information is printed on the bottom 7 inches of the form and is printing correctly. If I change fields around even slightly overprinting an data hopping starts happening on other fields. We have tried generic text, IBM XL and a documax driver and the data hopping still happens.
We are re-writeing the form to have equal lines and no Boxes. We already tried removing the boxes and having 1 line per piece of data.
I had a consultant that wrote a special generic printer driver for this form when it was in 2.6 and that no longer works? Could anyone tell me what is really happening here???? This form used to print from the old 2.6 with the IBM xl driver. Help!
