After the uninstall, when you installed VFP, was there a menu with option buttons like *reinstall*,*remove*. This menu should not appear, or something was not completely removed. It should look like a first time install, with no *remove* / *reinstall* options.
If you can not get to this point, then the next thing to do is download a copy of RegClean from MS, along with the instructions. Run this after the VFP uninstall, and just before the VFP install.
