I've noticed this behaviour back to FoxPro 2.x when you did a lot of replacements, Seeks, etc., because in Shared mode FoxPro sends more but smaller packages across the network, increasing the amount of management overhead. Is it really TableUpdate() that's slow, or do you anything else with the table?
