Sorry to reply to you Jose, this is really to the original author.

The only way I can thing to make FoxPro Databases somewhat secure is to create a Middle Tier .DLL through which all your data access goes through.

In this case you will only give the MTS object access to the files, not your users. You can use either set up MTS roles and check security inside the .DLL to implement Table and Column security... or, you can do that at the application level, even though the data is being sent just don't display the controls or whatever.
