In Foxpro 2.6 I used to create tables in programatic ways by a name that is formed based on certain rule. I used 3 chr contstant+2 digit co code + 2 digit year code to form the table name. The files will be opened based on the company and the year of originating the transaction.

I wish to have the same way in VFP 5.0. I want to create a DBC for each co and each year, if not there already. If available, then only that DBC should be opened. The DBFs also should be created and maintained like the DBC ie., by creating dynamically if required or openning if existing.

Can somebody tell me as to how to get the enviornment as above. I donot create DE programmatically for forms. I define it only through the DE of the forms. Any suggestions to help me will be highly appreciated.
