I think thin client has lost a lot of momentum, at least from the MS side of things. What are the memory requirements for IE now? The tune - at least at MS - has changed from thin client being a benefit to ease of deployment. IOW, you only have to distribute the application to the server instead of installing it on each desktop, which is of course a major benefit. OTOH, if you're going with IE and using ActiveX controls then I think they have to be installed on the client too.
