>COOOOL! I am a big drag racing fan (although my favorite vehicles have wheels). I have been to one or two top fuel DB meets here in Texas, but I make every NHRA national event I can.

Oh man that is cool! Which dragboat events in TX? I will probably be at the one in Marble Falls with that Top Fueler I do the site for this year. Next year R & R Racing Team might just be there too with our new rig if I get my MCSD done by then.

>I also have a '68 GTO convertible that I take to the track whenever I can. I built the car from the ground up, including shortblock, rearend, and race tranny assembly.

Wow you're a goat man. The '68 ragtop is cool, I had a close buddy who wrapped one around a tree once, unfortunately it was on my 18th birthday & I was in the back seat. For Christmas, I got the hubby a project car, a '69 Firebird. It was really rough but she's coming around nicely now. We went ahead & put the mild roll bar kit in it, but it's mostly a friday night date car. We thought we might take it to the track on occaison, but mostly to drum up some more engine building jobs to bring in cash to support the habit... errr drag boat I mean :)

And for all those ball fans out there, this tangent is payback for all the boring player-sport crap I've read in the past year < run, duck, hide >
