If for only the Preview in top-level form download GenRepoX, it is a free class that extends the report writer... among many nifty features, one is a much improved report preview window, that if I remember correctly works without needing _screen to be visible.

It was written by Markus Egger and you can download it from his web site at www.eps-software.com !
