Hi,
I recently converted an fpw2.6 app to Visual 5.0. When I ran the root program directly from the new project, everything appeared to run fine (some screen formatting problems). When I built the exe, all the dbf's became nonupdatable cursors. Same with the .app. I did an ADIR() and checked the attributes of each file, and they were all "A" (Archive, Read/write).
When I finally gave up trying to figure out why they were cursors, I wrote a routine to copy structures and append from the original tables. A couple of them appended okay, yet the rest of them (about 20) appended blank records. If I try recreating them using a SQL Select, I lose the indexes.
What Gives? Is there a system variable I don't know about that should be set? This is causing a major problem with my client (not to mention my sleeping habits).
Anybody know where to begin? Any help would be really appreciated.

TIA

Barry
