Here are some ideas:

- Look in the Event Viewer. If you're lucky, you may find an event that recorded the previous domain name.
- Look in the User Manager, Policies/Trust Relationships. You may have there the old name if there where some trust relationships on your network.
- Try other administrative tools. Some of them require the name of the domain. It may still be there.
