You could set the Highligh and HighlightRow Properties to False. Enter RETURN .F. in each WHEN event of textboxes, Set the style of each textbox to flat en make it a @say compatible box, change the borderwidth of each textbox to 0, put an white shape behid the grid (to prevent grey borders arround a textbox) and use and shape with drawmode 13 to mark the active record (use the relativerow along with the rowheight property to determine the exact vertical position, with thanks to David Fr).
