Probably M$ does not want you to do this, because as long as the permission is not granted to lose focus, it is a problem to activate another form. Eehr ... , you know that you can have multiple lines (max 255 characters) in a WAIT statement, do you not. Of course, if you want your user to respond ... I guess you will have to adapt the logic, like issuing the messagebox from the lostfocus event, and eventuarl refocus the field if there is an error. Desperately HTH, Marc
