Hi gang,
Well, we've gotten another boost, as it were.
The January/February issue of Contract Professional magazine, right at the top of the front cover above the masthead, states:
Hot Skills: Oracle, FoxPro, Mac
The article that goes along with that lead-in, written by Marshal Rosenthal out of Los Angeles, takes quotes from, among others, Robert Green and Markus Egger, and includes quite a nice quote from somebody at the State University of New York, calling VFP "the most undervalued and underestimated tool in Microsoft's Visual Studio toolbox".
This is good stuff, gang. It also directly follows, on the same two-page layout, an article about Oracle that talks about the high demand for Oracle folks and the rates they're getting.
If this is the wrong section to post this to, I apologize ... but hey, we'll take the good press when we can get it, right????
By the way, CP is a pretty good magazine for those of us that develop independently as well...some really neat stuff about contract language and working with agencies and the like.
Regards all,
Evan Pauley
