Thanks very much for your answer. Sorry I didn't come back sooner but I have been on holiday. I've downloaded the version from Compuserve and have been doing a bit of testing. This version does seem to cater for the two points I raised so thanks a lot. The only thing I would mention is that there seems to be a problem in the Y2K_Valid1 function when it tries to process a paramter of type "C". I have amended my copy so that the check on 'NOT EMPTY' and the 'EVALUATE' is done using 'tureturn' rather than 'lureturn'.
