For a test, I created a COM object in VFP6 and tried instantiating it and running certain methods in a VB6 app. Everything worked great except for the line where I tried to use MESSAGEBOX() because it needs to be Visible.

Interesting. This was my first experiment with COM as a DLL and I wasn't aware it could be done with an EXE, as out-of-process, as well.

Question: As a general rule, is it better to create the COM as In-Process and have the client app deal with all UI issues? Thanx
