Hi All,

I have a client with a FP2.6 Windows app that has been running fpr several years on Windows 3.1 connected to a Novell Network. In anticipation of an upgrade to our new VFP6 version of the app I advised them to upgrade to Windows 98 or NT, they chose NT, still hanging on a Novell network.

All is well EXCEPT PRINTING. The app prints a report that requires a specific dot matrix printer. If the user is careful to select that printer as his default BEFORE printing the report (REPORT FORM x TO PRINTER PROMPT) all is well. But if the user has his default set to a laser and changes to the dot matrix only when prompted, gibberish is printed. AND,.. all others get the same gibberish from that time forward until they go to the only workstation still using 3.1. Printing from there works and, apparently resets something so all is well again.
